Community Horticulture

Community Horticulture takes place in our polytunnel based just off Lark Lane. The project was created through funding and a partnership between St Michaels and Lark Lane Community Association (SMLLCA) and Lark Lane Housing Co-op.

We have planted 100’s of wild flowering bulbs, wild flowers, trees and herbs, held butterfly surveys, put up bird and bat box’s and kept the site free of litter.

Many passers-by and local residents have commented positively on the improvements made to the site. Hopefully with a little care the site will continue to flourish for years to come.

IMG_3437Last year we ran monthly Horticultural workshops for members of the local community in basic horticultural skills.

Monthly sessions are taking place on the last Sunday of the month 1-3pm.
